Who is responsible
Birdworks — TBD trading name, contactable athello@birdworks.uk, is the data controller for this site.
This site sets no cookies
There is no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking on these pages. That is why there is no cookie banner. Stripe's checkout, which opens when you buy, sets its own cookies for payment and fraud prevention.
What I collect when you order
- Your name, email address and delivery address
- The colours you chose for each part
- What you ordered and what you paid
I need these to make the thing, post it to you, and keep proper records. The legal basis is performance of our contract, and legal obligation for the records HMRC requires.
I never see your card details. Stripe processes payments and holds that data as its own controller — seeStripe's privacy policy.
Who else sees it
- Stripe — payment processing
- Royal Mail or a similar carrier — the delivery address on the parcel
- My email provider — messages you send me
I do not sell your data or send marketing you did not ask for.
How long I keep it
Order and payment records for six years, as UK tax law requires. Emails for as long as they are useful, then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask me for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it where I am not required to keep it. Emailhello@birdworks.uk and I will respond within a month.
If you are unhappy with how I have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office atico.org.uk.
